In 1962 the forces and the art of 19 winemaking families joined to create Cantine San Marzano. Wines from a unique region - we are in Puglia, a strip of land between two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, lands and landscapes in the province of Taranto and Brindisi, where vines and olive trees thrive side by side on the typical red earth. The Mediterranean terroir plays a fundamental role in the production of these high quality and modern wines. The climate is extreme and the conditions difficult. With the passion of the winemakers of Cantine San Marzano, the grapes are vinified into full-bodied and elegant wines. The wines are the best example that good quality and an attractive price do not have to contradict each other.
The Talò, as well as the SUD line convinces with southern Italian temperament and Mediterranean flair. Typical grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera beguile with black-fruity to marmalade notes. Black cherries, plums and damsons reflect the sunny region. A lot of wine for little money; thanks to their powerful, pleasant and gentle characters, they are the perfect everyday wines.
Among the oldest vineyards in Salento, Cantine San Marzano has long searched for suitable grapes that best express the soul of the noble Negroamaro grape variety. Three vineyards were selected and marked with the letter F. F stands for the Feudi, translated feudal estates, of San Marzano. Its brother, the "Sessant'anni" is a must for all fans of this style from the south of Italy. From vines more than sixty years old, the Primitivo di Manduria "Sessant'anni" is born, the most beautiful story of this territory. This excellent wine was crowned "Best Absolute Italian Wine" (99 points) by Luca Maroni in 2019. The must-have for all Sessant'anni lovers - the LIMITED EDITION (winemaker's choice). This presents itself in an elegant, high-quality design. The serigraphed lettering and the embossed bottle make the presentation unique.
