The 2002 Millésime Prestige l'Étincelante is a Chardonnay-dominated blend that unfolds a generous and exciting array of aromas. Ripe yet precise fruit aromas combine together with brioche and flint notes. The palate is intense and animatingly fresh, with a juicy, slightly chalky texture and a stimulating salinity on the long, youthful finish. Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker taster, is enthusiastic: "This is one of the best vintage champagnes I've tasted here so far." Siblings Melanie and Benoît Tarlant give each vintage a special name that reflects the character of the vintage. This shows the close connection of the two to nature, coupled with a special flair.
